Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of critical AWS infrastructure.
- Set technical direction and shape the roadmap and strategy for platform infrastructure.
- Drive security, cost management, scalability, and infrastructure-as-code best practices across the AWS environment.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and evaluate AI/ML infrastructure, including model serving, vector databases, and LLM tooling.
- Oversee production monitoring, incident response, blameless postmortems, and continuous reliability improvements.
- Develop and track Service Level Objectives and Service Level Indicators for critical production systems.
- Consult with feature-focused teams to provide infrastructure resources and delivery support.
- Mentor software engineers interested in infrastructure and reliability engineering.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24/7 reliability coverage.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, plus practical prompt engineering and context management skills.
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, including model serving, vector databases, and LLM operations.
- Strong software engineering background, ideally involving backend microservices; .NET experience is a plus.
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS and core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Kinesis, VPC, and IAM.
- Experience building and managing infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of SRE principles and a track record of improving site reliability.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms, ideally Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication, mentoring ability, cross-team influence, and calm decision-making during production incidents.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment and work in the office 4–5 days per week.
