Responsibilities
- Build advanced AI-powered prototypes quickly and to a quality level suitable for real-user testing.
- Build demos and run experiments and evaluations to determine whether capabilities work for users and merit further investment.
- Make design and architecture decisions that keep prototypes easy to change and viable for later productization.
- Experiment with new AI tools and techniques and share learnings with the internal AI community.
- Raise engineering standards through code review, pairing, and mentoring.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership while maintaining clear and structured communication.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of building and shipping real software.
- Strong foundations in software engineering, system design, and architecture, including enterprise-scale or distributed systems.
- Experience taking an idea from prototype to something real that people used.
- Hands-on, code-first approach and comfort with ambiguity and research-driven work.
- Strong focus on user experience, user journeys, and judging when a capability is ready for customers.
- Strong interest in AI and willingness to experiment, including experience building with LLMs or AI tooling at work or independently.
- Ability to take technical ownership and mentor less experienced engineers.
