Base Salary
$140k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Portfolio Management, Analysts, Operations, and Technology to provide data analytics, portfolio-management technology solutions, custom analysis, investment research, and portfolio-level reporting.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines that gather and normalize data from multiple channels into the team’s local data warehouse.
- Manage the integration, accessibility, and organization of data within the team’s database system.
- Develop user-friendly GUI front ends for non-technical team members.
- Support the firm-wide migration to the cloud-based Snowflake environment while preserving data integrity.
- Conduct recurring optimizations in R and post-optimization analysis for selected funds to reduce tracking error within applicable constraints.
- Automate existing processes in Python and R to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate errors.
- Debug and fix legacy processes written in Excel VBA, Python, R, and other tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Financial Engineering, Quantitative or Computational Finance, or a similar quantitative field.
- At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analyst or developer positions in a finance-related industry.
- Experience working with datasets containing at least 1 million rows and 30 columns.
- Experience creating and maintaining ETL processes.
- Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of financial and credit markets.
- Experience using R, Python, SAS, SQL, and Excel for programming and analysis.
- At least 1 year of experience applying portfolio-management theories.
- At least 1 year of experience with asset management and financial products.
