Base Salary
$67k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cyber tools, techniques, and prototypes for cybersecurity and networking missions.
- Integrate and demonstrate experimental capabilities for customer engagements.
- Implement and evaluate algorithms, automation approaches, analytics, and modeling techniques.
- Design and implement cyber-physical test environments to assess resilience, performance, and operational utility.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, data scientists, and mission operators to transition prototypes into operational workflows.
- Prepare technical documentation, status reports, experiment plans, and demonstration materials.
- Participate in technical reviews, program planning, and cross-organizational coordination.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience in software design and development, cybersecurity R&D, systems analysis, or capability development.
- Active Secret clearance; an active Top Secret clearance is desired.
- Background in networking, distributed systems, or cyber operations concepts.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++.
- Familiarity with networking and cyberspace modeling and simulation capabilities.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, networking concepts, and protocols including TCP/IP and TLS.
- Systems engineering experience including CPU, memory, and latency profiling and code optimization.
- Experience with Python libraries and virtual environment management, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and SciPy.
- Experience with network programming and protocols, including TCP/UDP sockets, routing protocols, and L2/L3 tunneling.
- Preferred qualifications include government research or cyber-component support, cyber-physical test ranges, simulation environments, digital twins, orchestration frameworks, cloud environments, advanced analytics, computer vision, machine learning, mathematical optimization, video encoding, and multithreaded distributed high-performance systems.
