Responsibilities
- Identify and solve ambiguous security, trust, and safety problems with organization-wide impact.
- Architect scalable security systems and AI-driven capabilities and drive platform-level technical decisions.
- Lead adversarial research, threat intelligence, detection, response, and investigation methodologies augmented by AI.
- Develop systematic methods for translating security expertise into scalable AI capabilities and improving model performance.
- Establish security engineering quality standards, processes, workflows, and automation across teams.
- Drive cross-organizational partnerships and influence technical direction at Meta scale.
- Own technically complex workstreams, mentor engineers, build community, and communicate updates to leadership.
- Share findings through internal publications, knowledge sharing, and contributions to the broader security community.
Requirements
- A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on security engineering experience in areas such as detection engineering, threat intelligence, incident response, cloud security, adversary simulation, offensive security, mobile or platform security, digital forensics, or trust and safety.
- Deep expertise in attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures with the ability to advance the state of the art.
- Proficiency in coding with experience in Python or Rust.
- Experience architecting security systems or programs that operate at scale and influence how others build.
- Experience defining and driving complex, ambiguous problem spaces with group-level impact and aligning multiple teams and cross-functional partners.
- Preferred experience with responsible and ethical AI practices, AI model improvement, red teaming, evaluation design, cloud security operations, trust and safety investigations, forensic investigation, adversary simulation, and AI/ML security.
- Preferred contributions to the security community through original research, tools, conference presentations, or publications.
- Preferred experience with prompt or context engineering, agent orchestration, AI workflow optimization, supply chain security, mobile platform security, or network protocol security.
