Base Salary
$80k - $91k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CICS, SAS, Easytrieve, and z/OS Connect.
- Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable application solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, application teams, and infrastructure teams to deliver enhancements and technical solutions.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, implementation, deployment, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Improve application performance, automation, reliability, and operational stability while maintaining enterprise standards and supporting business-critical applications.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and CICS in enterprise mainframe environments.
- Working knowledge of SAS, Easytrieve, z/OS Connect, and related z/OS technologies.
- Experience supporting production applications through incident management, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and application support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex legacy systems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or high-volume transaction processing environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of CAPSIL or Ingenium, and experience with modernization, process automation, performance improvement, on-call support, or distributed teams are preferred.
