Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage systems.
- Develop middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, React-based interfaces, and third-party vendor integrations.
- Enhance core frameworks to support multiple languages, currencies, and markets.
- Collaborate with engineering leads across global regions.
- Troubleshoot incidents and bugs to maintain system integrity and performance.
- Serve as regional operational reliability and engineering lead and act as incident commander.
- Support regional recruitment initiatives, cross-functional projects, mentoring, and engineering culture.
- Participate in on-call support for timely engineering projects when needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages and robust system architecture design.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and proven software engineering architecture experience.
- Experience with event-driven design.
- Ability to lead and troubleshoot incidents and bugs as an incident commander.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, strategic thinking, and independent execution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, globally distributed, fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience with AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
- Preferred experience with domain-driven design, global teams, startups, or fast-growing technology companies.
- Preferred financial services experience, especially with online trading platforms, brokerage systems, or fintech.
- Preferred experience with complex financial systems, double-entry accounting, transaction processing, trade lifecycle management, settlement, order management, execution, market data, and real-time trade processing.
- Preferred experience building high-availability, multi-currency financial applications and integrating financial APIs and market data.
- Familiarity with financial-market regulatory compliance requirements is preferred.
