Quality Assurance Engineer Specialist
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Build robust automated testing frameworks for web applications.
- Write and maintain functional, end-to-end, integration, API, and performance tests.
- Execute and monitor automated test suites through Jenkins.
- Collaborate with Quality Leaders to create test plans and define quality metrics.
- Design strategies for managing complex test data across multiple environments.
- Break down quality-related problems, estimate tasks, and deliver testing work for features or small feature sets.
- Apply testing methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure requirements remain verified when code is refactored.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with test automation using Playwright, JavaScript, and Python.
- Exposure to performance testing with JMeter.
- Experience with API automation using Postman, Playwright, or RestAssured alongside SOAP or REST.
- Strong manual testing capabilities covering functional, end-to-end, and integration cases.
- Experience executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins.
- Experience with project management tools such as Trello, Rally, or ADO.
- Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments.
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative code reviews.
- Exposure to AWS or Azure and their testing and deployment pipelines.
- Understanding of the infrastructure needed to run large distributed web applications.
- Power Systems domain software experience is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
