Base Salary
$225k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications for CLEAR’s identity platform.
- Own projects end to end from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, rollout, and operational support.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Security, and Operations to turn business problems into scalable technical solutions.
- Improve system reliability, performance, testing, observability, and developer experience.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve platform scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor teammates through code reviews, technical collaboration, and sharing engineering practices.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience building production applications with technologies such as Java, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong fundamentals across distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern software architecture.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native applications using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex cross-functional projects from idea through production.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts and influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and independently drive work.
- Collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring teammates and improving engineering practices.
