Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary SME on secure, hardened Generative AI strategy, architecture, policy, implementation, and deployment.
  • Architect, develop, test, and demonstrate Generative AI agents, plugins, and automated workflows using Python, Claude Code, OpenClaw, and related frameworks.
  • Evaluate emerging LLM, multimodal AI, and agentic AI tools and recommend secure integration approaches.
  • Enforce AI security hardening, data privacy, code quality, performance, and applicable federal cybersecurity and data-handling requirements.
  • Develop solution architectures, security plans, standard operating procedures, best-practice guides, and curriculum materials.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, IT operations, data science, and mission stakeholders to integrate AI solutions securely.
  • Deliver expert training, workshops, briefings, and mentorship to AIDETL interns, staff, technical stakeholders, and government leadership.
  • Monitor advances in AI safety, alignment, prompt engineering, secure coding, and government AI policy.
  • Support initiative execution and travel approximately 10% as needed to academic institutions, cyber and physical ranges, or industry events.

Requirements

  • A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in software engineering, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or a closely related technical discipline is required.
  • At least 2 years of focused Generative AI and secure AI deployment experience is preferred.
  • Deep expertise in LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, fine-tuning, agentic AI frameworks, and Generative AI technologies is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and practical experience with Claude Code and OpenClaw are required.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements, including FedRAMP High, is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex GenAI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences are required.
  • Project management skills and the ability to own initiatives from start to finish are required.
  • Experience supporting government customers or defense industrial base environments is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to work at the AIDETL location in Augusta, Georgia, as needed, including daily work, and to travel as required is necessary.
