Responsibilities
- Lead and standardize test automation practices across teams and services.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and SerenityJS.
- Develop JavaScript and TypeScript automation suites for web, API, and workflow validation.
- Design and maintain REST API automation using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Enforce quality gates that block releases when automation or sanity checks fail.
- Monitor automation executions, analyze failures, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Conduct automation code reviews and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on acceptance criteria and risk coverage.
- Mentor QA and engineering teams and contribute to automation metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, SerenityJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in building reliable and maintainable automation with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools and CI/CD automation using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with the Cucumber BDD framework, Git, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes-based environments.
- Exposure to accessibility testing and WCAG principles, desktop automation testing, and regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to debug complex automation failures, communicate effectively, and influence quality across teams.
- Preferred experience includes AI testing tools or agents, visual regression, cross-browser and performance testing, quality dashboards, cloud-native SaaS platforms, and mentoring teams.
