Base Salary
$150k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality C/C++ embedded software for X-BAT aircraft.
- Lead cross-functional teams in creating software features for robotic avionics capabilities.
- Own software capabilities from architecture and design through production.
- Integrate firmware, software test and verification, autonomy AI, ground control stations, avionics sensors, subsystems, and payloads.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and help extend systems engineering processes.
- Design test systems for virtualized hardware and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
- Develop tools that improve software deployment, test execution, data analysis, and continuous integration and release workflows.
- Create prototypes to validate design concepts and technical feasibility.
- Document architectures, detailed designs, test plans, risks, accomplishments, and project status.
Requirements
- Strong embedded software development experience in C/C++ and modern C++ features.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software, BSPs, systems software components, computer architecture, operating systems, and network protocols.
- Demonstrated ownership of development processes and features, product-shipping experience, and delivery in fast-paced environments.
- Experience producing technical documentation including architecture, detailed designs, and test plans.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in systems engineering, software engineering, computer science, or another STEM discipline such as aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
- Preferred qualifications include military aircraft development, DO-178C compliance, FPGA development with SystemVerilog, and RTOS experience.
