Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of resilient, low-latency, distributed architectures for iGaming products.
- Champion the adoption and secure enterprise integration of AI coding assistants for code generation, documentation, testing, and refactoring.
- Set engineering best practices around testing, security-first design, clean code, and development quality.
- Align front-end, back-end, and infrastructure teams across the organization.
- Participate hands-on in critical-path issues, complex problem-solving, refactoring, and high-stakes feature delivery.
- Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and foster continuous learning and greater team autonomy.
- Translate product strategy and technical constraints into scalable roadmaps and business risks or opportunities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, including a proven track record in iGaming, betting, or high-concurrency real-time gaming.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java/JVM ecosystems and modern front-end frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
- Deep experience using AI coding assistants and integrating them into secure, enterprise-grade engineering workflows.
- Proven ability to architect complex distributed systems in the cloud, with deep expertise in AWS, ECS, EKS, RDS, and S3.
- Ability to influence technical direction across multiple squads.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex technical constraints to non-technical leadership.
- Preferred: expertise in low-latency mobile or browser-based game engine architecture.
- Preferred: experience building and scaling real-time video streaming solutions.
- Preferred: knowledge of global iGaming regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Preferred: strong understanding of DevOps as a culture.
