Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure
- Build a cloud-native platform on public cloud and automate cloud resource management
- Execute infrastructure optimization initiatives across compute, storage, and networking
- Develop high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for the ClickHouse Cloud SaaS platform
- Improve cost efficiency through distributed systems and industry best practices
- Partner with business stakeholders to build tooling for cost-efficiency insights
- Collaborate with ClickHouse engineering teams and lead large-scope technical projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or another object-oriented programming language
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes
- Preferred experience developing cloud-native edge or service mesh services with Envoy and Istio
- Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers
- Understanding of network topologies, protocols, and security principles, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption, access controls, and compliance standards such as SOC 2 and GDPR
- Strong communication, problem-solving, production debugging, ownership, and accountability skills
