Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build reusable agents and tools to improve the consistency and quality of security reviews.
- Review deployments, code, and architectures for security defects and risks.
- Demonstrate the real-world impact of security flaws for prioritization and fix validation.
- Serve as the security contact for teams building Windows products and services.
- Identify novel attack vectors, bypass security controls, and develop scalable mitigations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve security and communicate the value of security investments.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field plus 1+ year of security or related experience; or bachelor’s degree in one of these fields plus 2+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing, code auditing, security tools, and vulnerability discovery.
- Strong understanding of security fundamentals and computer science.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: 2+ years identifying vulnerabilities in online services and deployment misconfigurations.
- Preferred: 5+ years of software engineering or security-related engineering experience and a public record of relevant security research.
Benefits
- U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100-$202,200 per year; San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- Requires Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
