Responsibilities
- Design experimental protocols to rigorously evaluate machine learning approaches.
- Develop and evolve forecasting and IoT data components, including models incorporating external events.
- Build and compare forecasting scenarios and develop anomaly and predictive failure detection approaches.
- Apply supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and survival analysis methods while preventing temporal leakage.
- Build baselines and conduct retrospective evaluations, ablation studies, robustness assessments, and generalization analyses.
- Develop robust, tested, documented, reproducible, and traceable Python code for integration into the research framework.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders and support knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Requirements
- Bac+5 degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field.
- Ideally at least 7 years of relevant experience, including significant applied machine learning research experience.
- Strong Python skills and proficiency with at least one major machine learning or deep learning framework.
- Experience with time-series modeling and evaluation, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, experimental protocol design, and temporal validation.
- Ability to write robust, tested, and documented code.
- Experience with agentic or multi-agent systems applied to machine learning is preferred.
- Knowledge of Dataiku, MLOps, or cloud, or experience with scientific publication or technology transfer, is a plus.
- Ability to explain and present complex scientific topics to technical and business audiences.
- A PhD is considered an important asset.
