Base Salary

$70k - $126k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect complex IT solutions for federal-government and FAA systems.
  • Develop and sustain large, mission-critical IT projects using .NET, MVC, C++, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
  • Create technical plans, rough orders of magnitude, context and concept diagrams, risk analyses, requirements analyses, functional analyses, trade studies, requirements allocations, interface definitions, and technical management artifacts.
  • Perform system integration, system testing, quality assurance, and technical refresh activities.
  • Convert legacy systems into web-based and cloud-based enterprise applications using load-balancing technologies.
  • Develop native Windows desktop applications and cross-platform Swift applications for iOS and iPadOS.
  • Build 2D and 3D graphics capabilities, including modeling and texturing, and support real-time audio software development.
  • Construct and manage automated CI/CD build pipelines and implement unit testing and test automation.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar field, with additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Two to four years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Experience with MVC, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, web services, XHTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Visual Studio C++, C++17 or later standards, native Windows desktop applications, and Swift for iOS/iPadOS development.
  • Hands-on experience with 2D graphics development and legacy rendering APIs such as GDI and GDI+.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5, socket programming, XML/JSON, and real-time audio software development.
  • Demonstrated 3D modeling and texturing skills using tools such as Blender or Autodesk Maya.
  • Experience with automated CI/CD build pipelines using Jenkins, SonarQube, or similar tools.
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation using frameworks such as GoogleTest.
  • Experience designing and implementing extensible, maintainable object-oriented architectures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and ability to pass FAA security screening and obtain Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include federal-government work experience, FAA configuration management and transition-to-operations experience, familiarity with change control boards, ADC, EDC, MKS tickets, and FAA IT security compliance.
