Base Salary
$405k - $485k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build portable abstractions for storage, messaging, connectivity, and cross-cloud service operations.
- Develop tooling that enables internal teams to provision, configure, and operate services across cloud providers through a consistent interface.
- Own end-to-end delivery of Claude on third-party cloud platforms, including build, release, and validation pipelines.
- Collaborate with cloud partners and internal Compute, Inference, Security, and infrastructure teams on integrations, platform issues, and roadmap needs.
- Lead cross-team technical projects, establish multi-cloud engineering patterns, and review designs for portability implications.
- Mentor engineers across the organization on multi-cloud architecture and patterns.
- Participate in on-call rotations and design postmortems, runbooks, and incident-response processes.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of practical experience building and operating production distributed systems.
- Experience owning large-scale infrastructure systems and leading ambiguous, cross-team technical projects from design through production.
- Experience running the same production workload across multiple cloud providers, including migration or abstraction work.
- Understanding of cloud IAM models and networking primitives such as VPC peering, private connectivity, and service mesh.
- Production programming experience in at least one general-purpose language such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Understanding of ML infrastructure and supporting interconnects.
- Experience shipping software through hyperscaler marketplaces or managed-model platforms.
- Background in security, compliance, or data residency for regulated or sovereign cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field or demonstrated through relevant coursework, training, or professional experience.
