Java Engineer
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Design and build software that integrates cloud and on-premise systems.
- Develop maintainable Java software components and modern REST web services.
- Build applications in an Agile environment and support continuous integration and delivery.
- Contribute to unit and integration test automation and software quality.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers while communicating issues and solutions across the organization.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience delivering production-quality Java software.
- Proficiency with object-oriented design and development methodologies.
- Experience building modern REST web services.
- Detailed knowledge of web servers and middleware technologies, ideally including WebSphere, MQ, Azure, or IIS.
- Experience with SQL, SQL Server, UDB, software development tools, and continuous integration and delivery technologies.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, PowerShell, Unix Shell, Perl, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
