Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the Health Records quality strategy and test automation across data ingestion, transformation, storage, and downstream consumption.
- Build automated validation for APIs, databases, data pipelines, healthcare data formats, and data-quality regressions.
- Design and build reusable data-mocking capabilities for internal data, third-party APIs, events, and data payloads.
- Lead quality and test-infrastructure initiatives from technical planning through delivery, including risk identification and architectural tradeoff evaluation.
- Establish data-quality, testability, test-data, observability, and HIPAA/PHI-safe testing practices.
- Mentor engineers and partner with Engineering, Product, QA, and domain experts to improve Health Records quality.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in SDET, QA Engineering, Data Quality Engineering, ETL testing, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong SQL and database skills, including data-integrity validation, reconciliation, transformations, and complex data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, request/response patterns, events, data payloads, and third-party integration testing or mocking.
- Experience building automation and reusable testing infrastructure with Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience designing and testing ETL/ELT pipelines, distributed data flows, or other data-intensive systems, including failure and recovery scenarios.
- Ability to scope and lead complex technical initiatives, evaluate tradeoffs, influence technical direction, and build reusable solutions adopted by other teams.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, plus experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices.
- Healthcare experience with EHR/EMR data, FHIR, clinical data, healthcare terminology, or HIPAA/PHI requirements is preferred.
- Experience with cloud and event-driven infrastructure, high-volume data pipelines, data-quality or observability frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, or FHIR validation tooling is a bonus.
