Base Salary
$135k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, validate, and integrate embedded and cloud-edge software for networking and wireless platforms.
- Design and implement networking features using C and C++ for WiFi and wireless connectivity systems.
- Perform low-level Linux kernel programming, including writing and modifying network device drivers.
- Work with TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ARP, DHCP, Linux networking, WiFi, and Ethernet technologies.
- Develop intelligent networking capabilities, including AI/ML-based traffic optimization and network management.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineering teams on system-level software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a relevant master's degree plus 1+ year or a relevant PhD.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 3-5 years of software feature development experience focused on networking and wireless technologies using C and C++.
- Understanding of Linux kernel internals and hands-on experience with low-level kernel programming and network device drivers.
- Strong knowledge of TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ARP, DHCP, and the Linux network stack.
- WiFi/wireless LAN protocol and Ethernet device driver experience is highly desirable.
- Hands-on AI/ML model and algorithm development or integration for networking applications is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Layer 2/3/4 packet forwarding schemes, including bridging, routing, Open vSwitch, DPDK, or VPP, is advantageous.
