Responsibilities
- Design and implement platform infrastructure for next-generation insurance systems
- Identify bottlenecks and build solutions that improve engineering team velocity
- Own problems end to end, including scalability, operability, metrics, root-cause analysis, and optimization
- Implement reliability and performance improvements across infrastructure, deployment, and observability
- Iterate on platform tooling and services based on engineering team feedback
- Collaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions and technical direction
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining production systems at scale
- Experience building distributed systems in Python or Go
- Strong understanding of modern API development best practices and design
- Familiarity with AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment best practices
- Demonstrated ability to clarify requirements, ask effective questions, and drive work to completion
- Track record of building reliable systems while balancing speed and caution
