Responsibilities
- Conduct AWS security reviews and validate cloud security best practices.
- Recommend and implement AWS security improvements with production support teams.
- Fix and maintain custom-built security tools and bots in partnership with the Lead Security Architect.
- Review application code for security issues and collaborate with developers on secure coding practices.
- Partner with product teams to implement secure-by-default designs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including possible after-hours and weekend responses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of experience in product or application security and related software engineering roles.
- Experience with AWS services including GuardDuty, CloudTrail, IAM, Security Groups, CloudFront, CloudFormation, S3, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or TypeScript.
- Knowledge of testing practices, documentation, security best practices, and risk assessment prioritization.
