Base Salary
$94k - $127k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications from detailed programming specifications.
- Participate in software testing through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and software certification.
- Support and install software applications and operating systems.
- Manage installation and configuration of complex third-party applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues and provide solutions that improve customer, user, or provider satisfaction.
- Provide primary DBA support to the 24x7 MES environment.
- Lead planned upgrades and improvements to MES.
- Lead technology project teams in the manufacturing space.
- Assume ownership of specific applications, including operational and strategic leadership, software design ownership, technical leadership, and coordination with IT, vendors, consultants, subcontractors, and customers.
- Provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization.
- Understanding of network protocols and application deployment across environments.
- Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office and programming tools including C++, C#, Visual Basic, ASP, Java, PL Sequel, and Web 2.0.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve fundamental technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff and management at all levels.
- Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships, collaborate within a team, change priorities quickly, and confront issues directly.
