Base Salary
$155k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and operate container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Security teams to deliver internal and customer value.
- Improve observability, automated remediation, availability, and latency.
- Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to create repeatable, auditable, and secure systems.
- Optimize cluster utilization, autoscaling, storage, networking, performance, reliability, and infrastructure spend.
- Build internal tooling, templates, and golden paths to improve developer experience.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead post-mortems, eliminate toil, and reduce MTTR through automation.
- Evolve CI/CD pipelines and development, staging, and production environment strategies.
- Use agentic development tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
Requirements
- At least four years of software engineering experience focused on infrastructure, DevOps, and/or platform engineering.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically Kubernetes.
- Understanding of observability through metrics, logs, traces, actionable alerts, and SLOs.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Programming experience in at least one modern programming language.
- Awareness of security fundamentals including IAM, workload identity, network policies, encryption, and secrets management.
- Strong collaboration, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and ownership skills.
- Open-source contributions are a plus.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Python, Go, JavaScript or TypeScript, CI/CD systems, and developer tooling is preferred.
- Must have an eligible work permit in the USA or Canada.
