Responsibilities
- Architect and lead large-scale cloud and infrastructure projects across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Drive initiatives from technical evaluation and proof of concept through architecture, implementation, rollout, and operational handover.
- Lead project delivery, including technical scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide technical leadership for 24x7 mission-critical multi-cloud environments.
- Drive observability, telemetry, automation, self-healing, incident prevention, and platform reliability improvements.
- Evaluate and adopt cloud-native technologies and architectures for scalability, performance, agility, and infrastructure efficiency.
- Design and implement cloud security and data protection solutions, including encryption, Azure Key Vault, CMK, BYOK, key rotation, and certificate management.
- Lead performance analysis, cloud cost optimization, and FinOps practices.
- Partner with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google on technology evaluation, cloud optimization, and technical issue resolution.
- Support customers and internal teams with troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, critical issue resolution, knowledge management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in mission-critical, 24x7 Cloud Operations or SRE teams within B2B or B2C SaaS organizations.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with Azure as the primary cloud.
- Proven experience leading large teams in complex, fast-changing, 24x7 environments.
- Strong customer focus, analytical and communication skills, relationship-building ability, and experience meeting SLAs and deadlines under pressure.
- Strong systems and network architecture expertise across Linux, Windows, SQL databases, compute, storage, and cloud networking.
- Hands-on Windows and Linux administration and troubleshooting, including compute, memory, storage, processes, services, networking, and kernel or system issues.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, SSH, firewalls, certificates, permissions, system hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, OS upgrades, configuration management, and performance optimization.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Python.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, administering, upgrading, and troubleshooting large-scale production AKS/Kubernetes environments.
- Experience with Docker, container images, Dockerfiles, container registries, container security, Kubernetes workloads, networking, security, scheduling, autoscaling, and resource management.
- Experience with AKS node pools, VM sizing, availability zones, workload placement, capacity planning, resource requests and limits, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Datadog.
- Experience designing highly available, self-healing, scalable, secure, zero-downtime, and disaster-recovery solutions for mission-critical AKS workloads.
