Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, validate, and debug Android, Android Automotive, embedded, edge, and utility software for automotive experience platforms.
- Develop and integrate features for concept vehicle demonstrations, prototype features, customer showcases, and global trade-show experiences.
- Perform system integration testing and analyze logs, traces, crashes, timing issues, interface failures, and end-to-end behavior across software and hardware layers.
- Drive root-cause analysis and issue closure involving Android framework, applications, middleware, vehicle interfaces, operating systems, and embedded components.
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, platform, and partner teams to define approaches, estimate work, manage dependencies, and deliver within project schedules.
- Support software bring-up, integration, validation, and demo readiness on target hardware, concept vehicles, and automotive development platforms.
- Contribute to architecture and design discussions, review code, mentor junior engineers, and document designs, integration procedures, debugging findings, known issues, and validation results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Five or more years of professional software development experience, preferably in Android, Android Automotive, embedded systems, or automotive software platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin, plus solid knowledge of C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong understanding of the Android framework, services, application lifecycle, IPC mechanisms, permissions, build systems, debugging tools, and system-level behavior.
- Experience with Android Automotive OS, automotive middleware, vehicle interfaces, CAN, SOME/IP, MQTT, or similar in-vehicle communication technologies is preferred.
- Experience with system integration testing, issue triage, log analysis, root-cause analysis, and debugging across software, middleware, operating-system, and hardware interfaces.
- Familiarity with Linux, QNX, embedded software environments, and cross-platform integration workflows.
- Experience with software design, development, unit testing, debugging, validation, integration, source control, issue tracking, release processes, and collaborative development practices.
- Ability to work independently, drive technical issues to closure, collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, and document technical findings and validation results.
- Experience with Qt, IoT, cloud-connected vehicle experiences, AI-assisted software development tools, or Android Audio Framework is a plus.
