Responsibilities

Provide technical sales and application support to field sales staff, customers, OEMs, distributors, and system integrators.
Demonstrate Nidec Drives products and prepare training and sales presentations, including developing demonstration systems when needed.
Select and size drives, motors, and peripheral devices for motion-control, pumping, and other industrial applications.
Develop, debug, and troubleshoot software programs used to operate complex machinery.
Implement servo drives and variable frequency drives and support customers with product and application guidance.
Provide technical support and field service through email, phone, ticket responses, and site visits.
Mentor other sales and technical team members and provide guidance or training to entry-level employees.
Travel to customer sites throughout the region and occasionally to other states or national sales meetings.

Four-year technical engineering degree such as BSE, BSEE, BSEET, BSME, or BSMET, or equivalent.
At least five years of experience in engineering or selling automation solutions.
Experience with drives or motion control, including PLCs and motion controllers, is highly preferred.
Proficiency in motion-control programming with servo-drive and vector-drive systems.
Familiarity with IEC 61131 programming platforms and industrial communications protocols including EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and PROFINET.
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and apply technical analysis to difficult but non-complex problems.
Ability to communicate with internal teams and external customers and provide technical guidance.

Regional customer travel is required, typically 25%–50%, with overnight travel expected one or two times per month.
Work includes phone, email, ticket-based, and on-site customer support.
Occasional travel to other states and national sales meetings may be required.
