Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems, APIs, and relational database structures using Java and MySQL.
- Optimize backend performance and queries for high traffic, large datasets, and real-time inventory synchronization.
- Lead integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, messaging platforms, and third-party APIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and the CTO to align technical functionality with business strategies.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while owning system stability.
- Mentor team members through constructive code reviews and promote high code quality, security practices, and clean architecture.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend software development experience with strong expertise in core Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with Spring Framework, ORM frameworks such as Hibernate, MySQL, Git, and REST, SOAP, and GraphQL API integrations.
- Comfort communicating, brainstorming, and troubleshooting directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced written and verbal English proficiency is mandatory.
- Experience or exposure to SAP Commerce/Hybris architecture and customizations is preferred.
- Hands-on AWS experience, familiarity with high-volume data pipelines or event-driven sagas, and exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery are preferred.
