Responsibilities
- Govern the centralized inventory of all global software assets, licenses, and subscriptions.
- Identify and eliminate software waste by analyzing usage data.
- Mandate comprehensive utilization reviews for top-tier vendor renewals.
- Orchestrate a master renewal calendar for global contract milestones.
- Develop forecasting models integrating historical spend and utilization trends.
- Architect software showback models to attribute costs across product verticals.
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance SAM practices.
- Partner with Procurement and Finance during major vendor negotiations.
- Establish a proactive vendor management practice and lead Quarterly Business Reviews.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in software asset management or IT procurement.
- Proven track record managing multi-million dollar software portfolios.
- Master-level skills in data analytics tools like Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Deep understanding of software licensing models from major publishers.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence leadership.
- Proactive and autonomous mindset capable of navigating ambiguity.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with various departments.
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or similar certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Agile methodologies.
- Experience using AI tools for operational reporting and contract analysis.
