Base Salary

$86k - $186k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead customer platform enablement for Switchtec PCIe switch products across data-center and AI platforms.
  • Partner with hyperscale AI and global storage customers to define technical requirements, manage deliverables, and support systems from board bring-up through production release.
  • Provide advanced technical support, platform-level debugging, root-cause analysis, firmware updates, software tools, hardware guides, and reference designs.
  • Deliver technical training and presentations to field teams and customer engineering groups, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Lead customer engagements and technical discussions to optimize system design, performance, reliability, integration, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, QA, product management, marketing, sales, and distributed engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot firmware and system-level issues using data-center-class debug workflows and laboratory equipment.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to debug systems and support deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of PCI Express (PCIe).
  • Strong software and firmware development skills, including debugging multithreaded architectures.
  • Proficiency in C and C++; experience writing test scripts in Perl, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with UNIX and Windows driver development and firmware development on embedded operating systems such as ThreadX, VxWorks, or eCos.
  • Customer-facing engineering experience involving technical support, issue analysis, and root-cause debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with protocol analyzers, exercisers, logic analyzers, and storage-related test tools.
  • Strong understanding of system-level firmware and hardware interactions.
  • Preferred qualifications include storage-industry experience; experience with RISC-based embedded processors, preferably MIPS; kernel debugging tools such as WinDbg, JTAG, and serial interfaces; server and storage architecture knowledge; and laboratory debugging with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and Linux diagnostic utilities.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $86,000–$186,000.
  • Total compensation includes restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.
