Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day technology requirements of proprietary trading systems.
- Expand in-house infrastructure to accelerate trading and research analysis workflows and improve productivity.
- Evaluate new technologies and identify or deprecate legacy code.
- Collaborate with engineers, traders, and researchers to design custom frameworks and end-user solutions.
- Write performance-sensitive code and user-friendly APIs for in-house data analysis infrastructure.
- Lead design discussions, conduct code reviews, mentor others, and lead small projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience building demanding, live systems in Python.
- In-depth knowledge of Python, including current standards from Python 3.11 onward, and the broader Python ecosystem.
- Knowledge of a systems language such as C, C++, or Rust.
- Solid understanding of data structures.
- Knowledge of CI software such as TeamCity or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to user experience.
- Ability to mentor others and lead small projects.
- Bonus: trading-industry experience, familiarity with the scientific Python stack, and knowledge of current Python package management.
