Base Salary

$175k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, document, test, and iterate on software for the robotic factory installation system.
  • Develop perception, motion-planning, and controls software for reliable operation in unstructured field conditions.
  • Contribute to low-level software powering robotic systems in factories and delivery vehicles, emphasizing correctness and safety.
  • Control industrial automation hardware, including linear actuators, motors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Deploy and support software on robotic systems at solar construction sites.

Requirements

  • Experienced Python developer comfortable with at least one lower-level language such as C++.
  • Experience writing real-time, embedded, or robotics software.
  • Ability to develop highly performant, clean, documented, and tested software using version control and CI.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Based in or able to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work four to five days per week from the San Leandro headquarters.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% to solar construction sites.
  • Experience with industrial robot arms, motion planning, or automation systems is preferred.
  • A four-year degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field is preferred.
