Base Salary
$180k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build applied AI features, agentic workflows, RAG systems, and intra-agent communication networks for production.
- Select, integrate, evaluate, and tune models across real-time voice AI pipelines for quality, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Build evaluation, guardrail, monitoring, and observability systems to measure and safely operate AI behavior at scale.
- Own backend services and data and inference pipelines supporting applied-AI features in production.
- Collaborate with product and founding engineering to prototype rapidly and influence technical direction.
Requirements
- Require 6+ years of software engineering experience in backend or full-stack development, including significant ML and Applied AI experience.
- Require a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Require experience shipping multi-agent AI solutions with real-time inference to live users at scale.
- Require experience designing agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, related tooling, and production AI applications.
- Require experience building and operating distributed backend systems with monitoring and observability.
- Require strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Require 2+ years of experience at an early- to mid-stage startup at Series B or earlier.
- Prefer experience self-hosting, tuning, and optimizing AI/ML models for voice AI pipelines.
- Prefer experience operating high-throughput, streaming, low-latency distributed systems and integrating STT, TTS, VAD, and LLMs for real-time voice agents.
