Base Salary
$91k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into working and maintainable embedded software solutions.
- Develop embedded software applications primarily in C/C++ and Python for real-time operating systems.
- Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system designs.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experiments, prototype, and evaluate results.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, and repair defects.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance are required.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of experience debugging applications on simulated and/or target hardware is required.
- Experience using a real-time operating system such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or a similar system is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include object-oriented design and implementation, software modeling and UML tools, device drivers, board support packages, information assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, or software certification such as DO-178.
