
Sr Full Stack Engineer
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support software solutions and infrastructure implementations or upgrades.
- Develop software using engineering best practices, test-driven development, and continuous integration practices.
- Establish monitoring and automation processes in a DevOps environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, analytics experts, UX research experts, and end users to define and improve solutions.
- Release software incrementally and frequently using MVP-oriented development practices.
- Observe users, gather ideas and requests, formulate hypotheses, and experiment with solutions.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with object-oriented programming in JavaScript, Java, or C#.
- Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular 2, or ES6.
- Experience with REST backends such as Node with Express, Java Spring Boot, or .NET Core.
- Experience with frontend CSS frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap and CSS preprocessors such as Sass or Less.
- Experience with relational and non-structured databases.
- Experience with cloud services, including AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Git source control.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and solve complex problems.
- Bachelor’s degree listed as desired.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
