Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and strategic roadmap of advanced AI solutions for investment and trading compliance.
- Build production-grade systems using large language models, agentic frameworks, retrieval, semantic search, workflow orchestration, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
- Partner with engineering teams to operationalize scalable AI services and apply modern product engineering practices across the software lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging generative AI, agentic architecture, retrieval, and foundation-model technologies through structured experimentation.
- Define AI evaluation methodologies, success metrics, benchmarking, monitoring, user-feedback, and operational-telemetry processes.
- Ensure AI solutions meet standards for responsible AI, transparency, security, reliability, and governance.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, compliance, AI platform, research, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software engineers.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Significant experience developing and deploying machine learning or AI solutions in production environments.
- Demonstrated ability to apply data science and AI techniques to complex business problems.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience in modern software development environments.
- Experience partnering with software engineering teams to operationalize AI solutions at enterprise scale.
- Experience delivering scalable, production-grade solutions using modern product engineering practices.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled SDLC and PDLC practices, specification-driven development, AI-assisted development, testing, code review, and documentation.
- Experience with AI development tools such as Devin, Windsurf, Claude Code, or similar.
- Knowledge of API design principles, event-driven architecture, test-driven development, and behavior-driven development.
- Ability to articulate architectural trade-offs involving scalability, resilience, cost, and delivery velocity.
- Ability to influence technical strategy and drive initiatives across organizational boundaries, with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, semantic search, retrieval, recommendation, knowledge discovery, embeddings, vector search, ranking, information retrieval, AI evaluation, model risk management, responsible AI, financial services, regulatory technology, compliance technology, enterprise SaaS, cloud-native AI architectures, or modern ML platforms.
