Responsibilities
- Design, code, modify, and maintain websites and web applications from layout through functionality.
- Develop and maintain Drupal 10+ custom modules and themes, perform data migrations, and use Drush for Drupal administration.
- Build frontend and backend functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Implement web security, performance optimization, database management, third-party integrations, and API-based functionality.
- Collaborate with web specialists, designers, and developers to deliver accurate, complete, high-quality work aligned with client and audience needs.
- Use Git-based workflows, automated testing, static analysis, linters, CI/CD pipelines, shell scripting, and package managers to support maintainable code and system reliability.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the development lifecycle and perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required, or equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
- At least three years of full-stack development experience required.
- At least three years of Drupal development experience required.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, Drupal architecture, PHP, object-oriented programming, and web development best practices.
- Proficiency with Drupal 10+, including custom module and theme development, data migrations, web security, performance optimization, MySQL, and database management.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, third-party integrations, frontend frameworks, automated testing, shell scripting, and Drush.
- Familiarity with Composer, npm, Vite, and Gulp; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and dependency or package management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, adaptability, and deadline-management skills, with the ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively.
- Ability to learn and use multiple content and web management tools for LLUH web development.
- Drupal certification preferred.
- Ability to meet the stated visual, auditory, reading, speaking, and workplace communication requirements.
