Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the Aura control plane in Go for sharded and composite databases.
- Develop Kubernetes APIs, operators, and provisioning infrastructure for shards, composite instances, and clusters.
- Implement systems that provision, scale, and operate stateful database workloads reliably.
- Debug software defects and downstream test failures, document features, and participate in cross-team design meetings.
- Study database research and experiment with new capabilities for Neo4j Aura.
Requirements
- Production-level software development experience.
- Strong Go experience across scripting and larger microservice-style applications, including familiarity with the Go build and packaging system.
- Strong Kubernetes experience with Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, and stateful workloads.
- Experience configuring continuous-integration pipelines and building and running Docker images.
- Ability to work independently and communicate and collaborate on complex technical topics.
- Preferred: Java, Scala, or other JVM experience; Kubernetes operators and Custom Resources; database, compiler, or query-language internals; asynchronous or reactive programming; distributed systems; Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure; observability practices; or managed cloud services.
