Responsibilities
- Own product or infrastructure direction for a major area from initial development through scalable solutions.
- Build and operate highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant systems processing hundreds of terabytes of data daily across thousands of customers.
- Perform low-level systems debugging, performance measurement, and optimization on large production clusters.
- Design architectures, influence product roadmaps, and take ownership of new projects.
- Prevent and investigate production issues using deep systems expertise.
- Plan and lead complex technical projects spanning multiple company teams.
- Drive engineering roadmap direction and organization-wide initiatives.
- Break down complex problems, prototype and validate solutions, and reduce technical risk.
- Mentor engineers, lead sprint planning, delegate assignments, and participate in project planning as a Technical Team Lead.
- Lead technical review committees or similar engineering initiatives and contribute to recruiting.
Requirements
- 12+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and their real-world applications.
- Experience driving company initiatives focused on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work toward a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
- Motivation to deliver customer value and measurable impact.
