Base Salary

$153k - $222k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy scalable, low-latency backend services for remote assistance session management and real-time data streaming.
Architect and implement remote-assistance cloud infrastructure using protobuf and gRPC across multiple AWS regions.
Design and implement the service data persistence layer using NoSQL databases such as Redis.
Build data pipelines to ingest, process, and store real-time data from autonomous vehicles.
Collaborate with onboard software and front-end engineering teams to ensure seamless end-to-end data flow.
Maintain platform security, reliability, resilience, network-disruption handling, and failover capabilities.
Optimize server-side data serialization and transmission to reduce latency and bandwidth usage.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
At least 2 years of professional experience in web services software development and cloud infrastructure.
Strong proficiency in a backend programming language such as Go or Python.
Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or OCI and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis.
Experience leading projects end to end is preferred.
Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
