Base Salary
$153k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, low-latency backend services for remote assistance session management and real-time data streaming.
- Architect and implement remote-assistance cloud infrastructure, including protobuf and gRPC across multiple AWS regions.
- Design and implement the service data persistence layer using NoSQL databases such as Redis.
- Build data pipelines to ingest, process, and store real-time data from autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with onboard software and front-end engineering teams to support seamless end-to-end data flow.
- Ensure backend platform security, reliability, and resilience, including network-disruption handling and failover.
- Optimize server-side data serialization and transmission to reduce latency and bandwidth usage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in web services software development and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency in a backend programming language such as Go or Python.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis.
- Experience leading projects end to end is preferred.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
