Base Salary

$162k - $200k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design secure network architectures for AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Architect security solutions for containerized applications using segmentation, micro-segmentation, zero-trust principles, and encrypted connectivity.
  • Configure cloud-native firewalls, security groups, network ACLs, and network security appliances.
  • Deploy intrusion detection and prevention systems and threat monitoring tools.
  • Monitor cloud network traffic, investigate security incidents, and remediate vulnerabilities identified through assessments and penetration testing.
  • Automate security policy enforcement, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and network workflows using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, influence platform architecture, and document security best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in cloud network engineering and security.
  • Expertise with IPSec, TLS, MacSec, encryption standards, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Experience with VPCs, VNets, subnets, load balancers, hybrid-cloud connectivity, and secure design patterns.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with containerized environments, network policies, Istio, Calico, and Open Container Initiative packaging and runtime concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and familiarity with Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Experience with SIEM or monitoring tools such as Splunk and with regulatory frameworks including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
  • Proficient in AI tooling and innovation, with strong analytical, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), CISSP, or CCSP.
