Base Salary
$113k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code for AWS accounts, networking, IAM, and other cloud resources using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Build, operate, and harden CI/CD pipelines for services and serverless functions across development, staging, and production environments.
- Containerize applications and maintain Helm charts or equivalent deployment packaging.
- Automate environment bootstrapping and teardown for consistent short-lived test and integration environments.
- Deliver and operate internal developer platforms providing self-service infrastructure, deployment, observability, and security controls.
- Define and improve DORA metrics and other reliability and delivery KPIs, translating results into operational improvements.
- Integrate SAST, SCA, DAST, secrets management, IAM policies, and auditing into infrastructure and delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot mission-critical runtime and deployment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Provide developer support, documentation, training, and graduated access to the platform.
- Gather stakeholder and end-user feedback, present solutions, and improve platform features based on usage.
- Evaluate tools and automation patterns that improve availability, resilience, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance, with SCI clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship required.
- At least 1 year of software development experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of practical containerization experience.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and introductory experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Basic experience with CI/CD systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant Bachelor of Science and 2+ years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of directly related experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Level 3 qualification may be met with 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with serverless systems or container orchestration, observability and monitoring tools, DORA metrics, production troubleshooting, incident response, and regulated, safety-critical, or aerospace environments is preferred.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to support teams and present to stakeholders and customers are preferred.
