Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ecommerce systems including backend services and APIs.
- Lead development of complex features for the customer-facing shopping experience.
- Architect and implement backend services that support high-scale ecommerce functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues related to performance and system stability.
- Drive best practices in system design, testing strategies, and performance optimization.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure high-quality code.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
- Mentor and guide engineers on the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5–8 years of professional experience building full-stack applications.
- Strong experience designing and building backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
- Proficient in modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Experience designing scalable architectures for high-traffic applications.
- Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
