Base Salary
$157k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional teams to design services and features that improve the core product.
- Develop robust tools and services to improve the image build system as it scales.
- Guide technical decisions and promote a culture of excellence.
- Help maintain product quality standards for Chainguard Images.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, data structures, algorithms, compilers, Makefiles, and toolchains.
- Expertise with containers, container registries, Docker, Kubernetes, and its broader ecosystem.
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code, including creating reusable modules and logically organizing resources.
- Proficiency writing services or tools in Go.
- Strong communication skills, English proficiency, autonomy, initiative, and willingness to seek help proactively.
- Authoring or contributing to open-source projects is preferred.
