Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Wi-Fi and network device drivers for Linux, Android, and embedded RTOS platforms.
- Design and troubleshoot networking solutions based on IEEE 802.11 standards and TCP/IP protocols.
- Resolve complex driver issues involving synchronization, interrupts, DMA, cache coherency, SMP, and kernel-user-space interactions.
- Optimize driver performance for CPU utilization, latency, and data throughput.
- Develop wireless connectivity solutions using SDIO, SPI, USB, and PCIe host interfaces.
- Support system integration, debugging, validation, performance tuning, and field or customer issue resolution.
- Collaborate with customers, hardware teams, and geographically distributed engineering teams.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and open-source wireless stack enhancements.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Wi-Fi or network device driver development and embedded software.
- Strong knowledge of IEEE 802.11, TCP/IP, Linux device drivers, C programming, RTOS concepts, and system primitives.
- Experience diagnosing synchronization, interrupt handling, DMA, cache, SMP, kernel-space, and application-space issues.
- Ability to identify and resolve driver performance bottlenecks affecting CPU utilization and data throughput.
- Knowledge of Linux or Android internals and host buses including SDIO, SPI, USB, and PCIe.
- Ability to collaborate with customers and geographically distributed teams while managing prioritized assignments.
- WPA Supplicant and open-source development experience are preferred.
- Automotive middleware experience and knowledge of Open Synergy, QNX, GENIVI, or CAN are preferred.
