Base Salary
$178k - $313k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models powering core products used by millions of Snapchatters.
- Apply modern machine learning techniques to large-scale, real-world problems.
- Own the full machine learning lifecycle from data analysis through production deployment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prototype and launch ML-driven features.
- Use AI tools to design and ship scalable services while auditing output for correctness, performance, architecture, and security.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, solve ambiguous problems, and mentor others.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent years of practical work experience.
- At least 5 years of post-bachelor's machine learning experience, or a master's degree with 4+ years of post-graduate ML experience, or a PhD with 1+ year of post-graduate ML experience.
- Experience developing machine learning models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, image generation, or related applications.
- Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Preferred: advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with machine learning and ranking infrastructure and system design.
- Ability to prioritize work, operate independently, collaborate, solve open-ended problems, and mentor others.
