Responsibilities
- Develop and train AI tools and machine-learning processes for aerospace and aviation automation.
- Design, program, test, and evaluate AI systems, algorithms, and ML tools.
- Work with autonomous systems and resolve issues involving algorithms and data.
- Collect and analyze large datasets to identify trends, ambiguities, and inconsistencies.
- Support data management, project infrastructure, and AI software architecture.
- Build containerized application tools and contribute to Agile product development.
- Develop full-stack software, databases, technical documentation, and user guides.
- Support third-party cloud platforms, architectural design, access controls, usage monitoring, cloud security, virtualization, and virtualized server implementations.
- Collaboratively maintain software, find and fix bugs, and apply web security and DevSecOps practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, engineers, developers, cyber specialists, and scientists.
Requirements
- Must be working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or data science.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, data science, mathematics, statistics, and software programming is required or desired.
- Experience or knowledge with full-stack JavaScript, Python, Java, C, C++, or C# development is desired.
- Familiarity with front-end, back-end, database, cloud computing, virtualization, web security, distributed learning specifications, and DevSecOps principles is desired.
- Experience as an AI Developer or AI Engineer is highly desired.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks, solve problems analytically, communicate effectively in English, and collaborate with teams.
- Aptitude for NASA mission areas including aeronautics, exploration systems, science, space operations, and space technology is desired.
