Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, maintain, and modernize application components according to business and technical requirements.
- Write scalable, maintainable, high-quality code and participate in code reviews, refactoring, and software engineering improvement activities.
- Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and production incidents using structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Perform unit, system, and validation testing and ensure development, deployment, support, documentation, quality, security, compliance, and operational readiness requirements are met.
- Collaborate with application managers, business partners, operations, and IT teams on application maintenance, support, deployment, enhancements, and implementation activities.
- Review application architecture and database design and recommend improvements for scalability, performance, and technical modernization.
- Support integrations involving automation, APIs, pre-built AI services, intelligent workflows, and data-driven insights where appropriate.
- Prepare and maintain requirements, technical specifications, design documents, test plans, deployment documentation, and user or support manuals.
- Develop technical effort, cost, and resource estimates and contribute to project planning, dependencies, risks, and implementation activities.
- Mentor associate developers and junior resources through coaching, code reviews, troubleshooting support, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, including BE, BTech, ME, MTech, BCA, MCA, BSc, or MSc.
- Six to eight years of experience in systems development, implementation, and support using the required technologies.
- Hands-on proficiency with C# and the .NET platform and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and application development principles.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, logic, analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, database querying, data manipulation, and relational database concepts.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus familiarity with MVC, DOM, Node.js, AngularJS, and NPM.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, deployment practices, cloud technologies, Agile development, and Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AI and machine learning concepts, and enterprise application of AI services and APIs such as Azure AI/Cognitive Services or OpenAI APIs is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, organizational, multitasking, and continuous-learning abilities.
