Responsibilities
- Define infrastructure standards for development teams.
- Design, implement, and develop tools for controlling microservices infrastructure.
- Build CI/CD automation and templates with GitLab.
- Build, maintain, and operate AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of Via’s applications and architecture.
- Coordinate with teams across the company to ensure smooth and documented changes across environments.
- Identify and resolve problems in mission-critical services and automate remediation procedures to prevent recurrence.
- Own project timelines and deliverables while contributing ideas to help the organization scale.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least 5 years of professional backend or full-stack development experience in a product development team.
- At least 3 years of DevOps or SRE experience in a production environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS or GCP/Azure.
- At least 1 year of experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Required object-oriented programming experience.
- Experience with networking, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, and Unix/Linux operating system internals and administration.
- Fluent English-language communication.
- Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi experience is advantageous.
